Spinal cord injury
A spinal cord injury is damage to the spinal cord at the level of the cervical (neck), thoracic (upper back) or lumbar (lower back) area. Symptoms may include loss of muscle function. The injury can occur at any level of the spinal cord and will result in different symptoms from numbness to paralyses to incontinence.

HOW TO SECURE A GOOD SEATING SOLUTION
- Since there is an increased risk developing decubitus due to less circulation and sensibility, a prophylactic cushion for decubitus is needed. Our Ride Forward cushion moves pressure from the high-risk areas to low risk areas.
- Support independent transfer like hinged or swingable arm supports which e.g. the Netti 4U CED
- Some degrees negative tilt will make it easier to make a good transfer.
- Support the stability of the upper body by using a support back cushion together with side supports.
